What’s Shining?: “Kpop Concert Tips – from purchasing & choosing your seats!”

BUYING YOUR FANMEET & CONCERT TICKETS
SISTIC ONLINE

1) If you want to purchase your tickets via SISTIC ONLINE, you need to ensure that you have a really good internet speed connection. Especially in Singapore where the competition is stiff because of the large number of KPOP fans here, you need to make sure you have the best connection to help you get the tickets online.
Also, log in at least 15 minutes before the starting time of ticket sales to ensure that everything is going smoothly at SISTIC. If you are planning to buy tickets online, it will be best to book tickets 2 by 2 or the maximum, 3 by 3. Unless you are really confident that you can get a lot of tickets at once on the same row, then of course, you can do so. But based on my experience, it is easier to score tickets if you book by lesser quantity at once.

OVERNIGHT QUEUEING

2) In the case where the organizer says that there will be overnight queuing, if you are game enough to do it, then you should go early.
For example, if the organizer says that official queue starts at 12 midnight, you might want to be at the venue at about 10pm at least just in case some fans decided to create their own line. Once you are there, it is good to observe if such activities are going on because usually, fans will create their own line and call if official. Again, it is up to you, to follow the official announcement or not.
In my opinion, overnight queuing are for those that really want to fight for the super best seats available, or at least one of the better seats. I believe that the counters set up to purchase tickets for people who queued overnight somehow have better internet connection and faster access to SISTIC so in that sense, I think it is a tad easier to get the tickets that you want even if you are not the first few in line.

SISTIC COUNTERS

3) If you want to try your luck by queuing at SISTIC COUNTER outlets, then I suggest you make your way there early. For example, if ticket sales officially starts at 9am, you might want to reach there at 7.30am. I know all the timings I listed out are very early but I guess its better to get yourself prepared.

Based on my experience, there are also quite a number of people who WILL queue up at SISTIC COUNTERS, so you want to ensure that you are the first few in line.
In terms of the internet connection at SISTIC COUNTERS, I can’t really give you a definite answer on that because at times, I managed to get my tickets easily within 15minutes, but at times, it took me about 1hr+ so it really depends.
But I would have to say that no matter what it is, there will be tickets available at SISTIC COUNTERS even if you have queued there for at least an hour. But then again, I can’t guarantee that you will get the best tickets available after an hour plus.
My friend queued at a SISTIC COUNTER for her SHINee tickets and even though she wasn’t the first few in line, she got a pretty good seat and she got the category that she wanted, so again, it really depends.

CHOOSING YOUR FANMEET & CONCERT TICKETS

Moshpits -  I have to admit, I have NEVER purchased any moshpit tickets before. However, based on what my friends have told me, if you are going for moshpit tickets, selecting to be at the correct side is very important. Which means, it will be very satisfying if you are at the same side as your bias. Moshpits tickets are very worth as well as KPOP idols will always interact more with those at the moshpits.

If they decide to throw stuffs at their fans, it will be those at the moshpits who will have a higher chance to get the stuffs as well. That said, you need to make sure you are willing to move around to see as much of your idols as you can as they can be everywhere. Moshpits allow you the flexibility to move around (provided if you have the space LOL)

Middle seats - If you’re the type of person who enjoys an overall view of a fanmeet & concert & enjoys seeing everything from the center, then middle seats are for you. If you have a good camera with you & if your seats are pretty in front, then middle seats are worth it. It will be easier for you to snap pictures & record fancams if you are seated in the middle. Also, you will get to see all the members of the group not just focused onto one specific member.

If your seats are pretty far at the back, with a good camera, it will still be good for you. However, if you do not have a a really good camera, then you might have to refer to the screens most of the time.
Side seats – If you’re the type who likes a particular member more than the rest, then side seats are better for you. That said, if you want to capture pictures and fancams of your bias, then you need to ensure you are at the correct side. For example, if your bias loves going to the left side of the stage, then you might want to purchase your tickets at the left side so that you will get to see your bias easily.
If you have side seats that are at the front, then it will be very easy to spot your bias and even interact with him/her if he/she goes to the extended stage (which most concerts have). If your seats are pretty far, you will still get to see your bias easily, just that you probably don’t get to interact with him/her as much.
